This communique is in regards to the action that the BMHA will be putting into place regarding the guidelines from the City of Ottawa and the Province of Ontario after November 6th.
The implementation of these new guidelines may continue to impact our hockey programming until we move into the next stage resulting in a reduced number of ice times per participant. We hope that everyone will be patient and understanding as we navigate through this process until we are able to resume regular programming once the restrictions are lifted. As the COVID outbreak changes, the BMHA will be able to adapt and plan accordingly. Currently we don’t know when we’ll be able to return to the maximum of 25 on the ice again or when scrimmages will be allowed but we’ll be planning for both options so we can move quickly and without further interruption in the future.
Considering the above information, we realize that some may not want to continue in our programming and we fully support your decision. Having said that, we have revised our refund policy and any participant wishing to withdraw will receive a refund for any unused portion of ice for the month of October and we will stop any further payments moving forward. For those wishing a refund please send your request to email@example.com. This new refund policy will only be for those who withdraw between Friday October 16th until the end of day on Sunday October 25th. This will allow the association enough time to plan the next phase moving forward. All players that continue will have their October balance credited to their November payment. The next payment due will now be December 1st.
Any player that has paid in full till the end of December will receive a one month refund credited to their credit card on file which could take up to 28 days.
Our goal is to keep players on the ice in a safe environment as we navigate through this challenging season.
